Second Calibration

My lift plate now sports 3/16" holes and glorious scratches

To solve my print problems from the first calibration, I decided to tackle it with several changes:
  1. Make larger holes in the lift plate to allow the resin to come through without the "wave"
  2. Scratch up the surface of the lift. As one forum member put it: "Pretend your worst enemy had a favorite CD and you wanted to ruin it; go for that surface finish over the whole plate." I roughed the lift up with 60 grit sandpaper.
  3. Add more resin to the print process. I now have all 500 mL of MakerJuice Red in the vat.
  4. Reduce the dipping distance from 6 mm to 4mm, preventing the lift from "grabbing" water unnecessarily.
  5. Change the print script to do the first dip of the lift, then wait while I pop the first set of bubbles and remove the water spots
